Fish collagen

As dogs age, they often suffer collagen deficiencies which manifest themselves in the form of joint problems. While this is natural, it is nevertheless undesirable and can significantly decrease your dog’s quality of life. By replenishing naturally decreasing amounts of collagen with a supplement such as Rejuvenate, owners can often increase their dog’s mobility, reduce joint pain, and offer them a higher overall quality of life.

Egg shell powder

As with humans, dogs benefit from calcium in their diet which allows them to grow and maintain strong bones. While one calcium source is the bones of other animals, this can be potentially dangerous given splintering and fragmentation. Powdering egg shells is a far safer way of integrating a natural calcium source into your dog’s diet, and may prevent or even treat conditions such as arthritis and rheumatism.

Chlorella

Chlorella are a type of microalgae. In dogs, it acts as a kind of detoxifying superfood which also boosts the immune system and promotes gastrointestinal health. Healthy gastrointestinal tracts leads to easier digestion, and a range of other associated health benefits.

Glucosamine and chondroitin

Senior dogs are prone to suffer from conditions such as arthritis and rheumatism. Glucosamine and chondroitin can reduce the painful inflammation around joints which is the most common symptom of these conditions, and allow for an increase in your dog’s quality of life.

MSM

Methylsulfonylmethane, more commonly known as MSM is an organic compound containing sulphur. In dogs, it can act as an antioxidant, and as a natural analgesic blocks pain receptors causing discomfort in the case of joint disorders such as arthritis and rheumatism.

L-Taurine

Taurines are amino acids which form the biological building blocks of proteins and muscles within the body. They also support healthy cardiovascular function, and the immune system. When low-quality commercially common dog food such as kibble is so often associated with cardiovascular conditions such as dilated cardiomyopathy, supplements offering taurines to counteract this are particularly important.

Coconut water

While more often viewed as a trendy drink for humans, coconut water may offer a surprising range of benefits to dogs! High in hydrating electrolytes, coconut water is also rich in potassium, calcium, and Vitamin C which offer health and wellbeing benefits.

Dandelions

This common flower is a complete source of vitamins and minerals which all contribute to canine health and wellbeing. These include Vitamins A, C, K, D, iron, and phosphorous. It is better to offer your dog dandelion through commercial supplements to avoid accidentally poisoning them with leaves that have been sprayed by toxic pesticides,

Vitamins C and E

Vitamin C can boost a dog’s immune system meaning it is less susceptible to infectious illnesses and diseases, as well as coat and fur health. Vitamin E has anti-inflammatory properties which promote healthy joints in later life, as well as soothing the skin.

FAQ's

What is the best nutritional supplement for dogs?

The best nutritional supplement for dogs are easy to administer, contain premium ingredients, and offer real health benefits. They should also be palatable, so the dogs they are being given to are more likely to eat them.

Do dogs need nutritional supplements?

The best nutritional supplement for dogs are easy to administer, contain premium ingredients, and offer real health benefits. They should also be palatable, so the dogs they are being given to are more likely to eat them.

Do dogs need nutritional supplements?

Strictly speaking dogs do not need nutritional supplements, but this does not mean they are not beneficial. Nutritional supplements allow pet and working dog owners to offer their animals specific benefits that their main diets do not cater for.

What supplements are bad for dogs?

No true supplements should be bad for dogs. While individual animals may have allergies or intolerances to certain substances, supplements still play important nutritional roles. Rather than inherently being bad, we would suggest that certain supplements are less likely than others to offer any of the benefits they claim.

How do I know if my dog is getting enough nutrition?

Your vet is best placed to advise you on any nutritional deficiencies your dog may be experiencing. Having said that, owners often notice the first symptoms which may suggest this is the case. This can include behavioural, coat, or movement pattern changes.

What is the best organic supplement for dogs?

The best organic supplement will provide dogs with nutritional benefits it may be missing from its main diet. From a user perspective, good supplements are easy to store and administer, and should be readily accepted.

Is it bad to give organic dog supplements?

Not at all. Supplements can offer a number of health benefits, and multiple dog owners have seen their animals thrive when products such as Rejuvenate have been introduced into their diets.

What are natural supplements for dogs?

Natural supplements are products which can be added to a dog’s food that may offer health benefits. They come from natural sources and are often organic.

How should I give organic supplements to my pet?

Supplements are best added to your dog’s usual food. We suggest administering twice a day with morning and evening feeds.
